No time to register what the giants did during the fight, or the time to immerse yourself into Urarakas and Tsuyus teamwork in dealing with the villains.

A good example of bad censorship is the Red Riot and Fatgum fight against Rappa and the barrier guy.

Red Riot sustained horrible injuries in the manga, he had, bruises, blood, and dried blood covering his whole body, his fight with Rappa left his unbreakable form literally torn apart.

In the anime, as epic and quite emotional it was at least, the whole drama scene of his unbreakable form being breached was dialed down because those injuries didnt look that much serious.

Compare it with Dekus fight against Todoroki, or their fight with Stain, they all showed serious injuries which pumped up the fight, they all showed signs of struggling with their injuries with signs of their adrenaline pushing the pain away, we dont see MUCH of that during Red Riots fight against Rappa.

I also expected better animation for the fight, it was good and decent but with this fight more anticipated for a lot of fans, animators should have taken consideration towards it.

In terms of transitioning, the latest episode with Chisaki fighting against Mirio is a good example of bad transition of the flashbacks and bad lazy animation.

The fight was a massive disappointment for me, but there was some pretty epic and good scenes in there as well, not all of it was bad, and I generally enjoyed the episode.

BUT the fight was overusing a lot of still-frames to cover the fight, if animators think they made the scene more epic by adding an emotional driven OST coupled with still-frames and slideshow transitions, they made a huge mistake.

They use of still-frames to showcase the fight was a bad move, and incredibly lazy to fill in one episode worth of fighting, I expected two episodes of Mirios fight against Chisaki, not one.

Chisakis flashback scene during the fight was pretty random due to how long it was.

If it was shorter and more condensed but enough to let you register what was going on, then it would have been good enough.

Maybe the new director isnt as confident with pushing to go beyond whats necessary to translate the manga to screen.

Yes, its not as epic or cool but it fully embodies the idea that mirio fought hard without his quirk.

The manga makes it seem to me that there was repetition of mirio quickly attacking then saving eri and I think the slideshow is pretty good at showing that.

As an animation studio you are forced to have your content censored with blackwhite bars or you can be creative and work with the broadcasting restrictions and then try and clean it up later in a BD release.

I personally dropped the anime at some point and stuck with the manga ever since.

I take Horikoshis master work (in basically everything) over the occasionally (random) sakuga moments.
